Trentham Youth Worker Trust
The Trentham Youth Worker Trust was established in 2000 to further Christian ministry to young people in the Upper Hutt community by:
- identifying needs relevant to Christian ministry to young people;
- providing personnel and/or resources to meet such identified needs;
- providing resources to support such personnel; and
- providing other Christian ministry to young people that the Trustees may identify, with the consent of the Vestry of this Parish.
There are at least four Trustees, including the Vicar of this Parish or his/her nominee and three trustees appointed by the Vestry of this Parish. The Trustees may elect a further three trustees representing the interests of the Upper Hutt community, provided that the Vestry of this Parish consents to their appointment.
The Trust organises fund-raising activities to support the involvement of Trentham young people in activities such as camps that they could not otherwise afford to attend. Anyone from the parish or the community who would like to go to a is welcome to become part of these efforts, which include BBQs at Mitre 10, stalls at March Madness and the Spring Festival, and an annual quiz.
